Twirl - 3
Twirl - 3
This is one of four drawings that show two 8 and 9-year olds from Dancewave‘s Creative Modern Company as they practice a twirling pas-de-deux. The drawings are small and intimate, and meant to be displayed together. I was trying to capture these girls' energy and fun.
Help support dance education.
This drawing is from a series based on the young dancers at Dancewave, an amazing dance school in my neighborhood that introduces young dancers to top New York City choreographers. All sales of the work go to support the organization, providing scholarships to worthy dancers.
I'm selling both the original and archival prints that fit standard frames.
The original is 9" x 12" sumi ink on paper. The prints are slightly smaller with the image size at 8" x 10" on 8.5" x 11" paper so they fit in a standard (inexpensive) 11" x 14" frame and are printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper which has a slight texture. They are printed on a top-of-the-line printer using archival inks.
