Part of the current culture when CHiPs is giving away their food, is the line of people waiting to eat and take home pantry items. The people in the line are mostly quiet, in their own world, but when they get to the end, they meet a courteous and happy person who checks in with them and gives them their food. It's really a community.

This piece is part of my upcoming exhibition – The Faces of CHiPs - What if God lived in Gowanus? – a series of studies and portraits of the people of CHiPs, a soup kitchen/residence that has served my neighborhood for 50 years. All proceeds from sales of paintings and prints will be donated to CHiPs to further their mission.

I'm selling both a framed original and prints.

The original is 10" x 8" and is framed and matted in a 16" x 13" black frame with a simple white mat. The prints are beautiful accurate representations of the original. They are printed on 11" x 8.5" archival Hahnemuhle German Etching paper with a .5" border on the sides and 1" borders on the top and the bottom.
