I'm not religious, but there's a passage in the bible that resonates with me. “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”

When I look at the line of people, hungry, waiting in front of CHiPS for what might be their only meal of the day, I think of that passage, and wonder if this is the best of New York City.

This piece is part of my upcoming exhibition – The Faces of CHiPs - What if God lived in Gowanus? – a series of studies and portraits of the people of CHiPs, a soup kitchen/residence that has served my neighborhood for 50 years. All proceeds from sales of paintings and prints will be donated to CHiPs to further their mission.

The Prints are Gorgeous.

The original is 18" x 24". The prints are beautiful accurate representations of the original, but slightly smaller at 17" x 22". I use Hahnemuhle German Etching paper and print right to the edges. They look like etchings. The blacks are black, and the prints are virtually indistinguishable from the originals.
