Portrait of Daniel Barrera 2 - CHiPS Guest and Small Businessman
I met Daniel standing in line at CHiPS. He is a small businessman, creating a brand, who is struggling, and eats the free lunches at CHiPS to help make it through the month.
This piece is part of my upcoming exhibition – The Faces of CHiPs - What if God lived in Gowanus? – a series of studies and portraits of the people of CHiPs, a soup kitchen/residence that has served my neighborhood for 50 years. All proceeds from sales of paintings and prints will be donated to CHiPs to further their mission.
The Original is Framed. The Prints are Gorgeous.
The original is 17" x 14" and is sold framed in a 25" x 22" frame with matt. The prints are beautiful accurate representations of the original, though slightly smaller (16" x 13"). I use Hahnemuhle German Etching paper and print right to the edges. The blacks are black, and the prints are virtually indistinguishable from the originals.
