Oh No!
Oh No!
It's not all leaping and balancing
Sometimes it's the expression of emotion. Here, Connie Shiau demonstrates how to hold the hands during a particular dance movement, in which the dancer gets small and hides behind her hands.
This Drawing is Part of My Dancewave Series
I attended rehearsal with Dancewave's DC1 Pre-Professional Company for six weeks and made a series of drawings and paintings of the process. What sets Dancewave's Pre-Professional Company apart is that it is an opportunity for high-school students to work with choreographers from the world's most renowned modern dance companies.
All Sales Proceeds Go To Dancewave
This collaboration has been an exciting artistic opportunity for me, allowing me to capture the growth of the work and the way in which these young and tremendously talented students grow as dancers and in the piece.
I'm Selling Both a Framed Original and Prints
The original is 14" x 17" and is framed and matted in a 20" x 26" black frame with a simple white mat. The prints are beautiful accurate representations of the original. I offer two sides. One is 13" x 16" with the image shrunk a bit and no border. The second is on 17" x 22" archival Hahnemuhle German Etching paper with the full size image and a 1.5" border on the sides and 2.5" borders on the top and the bottom (which can be easily framed in a 17" x 22" frame with no mat needed).
