Esplanade Lamps, Dark Tower

The new lamps stretch down the path in rhythm, their black silhouettes recalling another era. Behind them, the dark tower looms, a vertical weight on the skyline.

The drawing became about layers of time—retro lamps installed new, towers pushing higher, trees filling in the gaps. Old shapes, new steel, and the green insistence of leaves all meeting at once.
