Chaos
Chaos
There's one moment in the dance when all the dancers move frenetically and it's just crazy fun. From an artistic perspective, I wanted to capture the order in the chaos, but still keep the fun. I also like the shades of Japanese anime in here. It's really a beautiful drawing, and a cool print.
Help support dance education.
This drawing is from a series based on the young dancers at Dancewave, an amazing dance school in my neighborhood that introduces young dancers to top New York City choreographers. All sales of the work go to support the organization, providing scholarships to worthy dancers.
I'm selling both the original and archival prints that fit standard frames.
The original is 24" x 18" brush and sumi ink and gouache on paper. The prints are slightly smaller with the image size at 20" x 16" on 22" x 17" paper so they fit in a standard (inexpensive) 24" x 20" frame and are printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper which has a slight texture. They are printed on a top-of-the-line printer using archival inks.
